You'll need to find drivers for that drive - and possibly update the computer's BIOS as well - and put those drivers onto a floppy diskette. Is there any way I can get round this and install XP? I have looked at articles on how to uninstall Vista but they were beyond my knowledge to follow.

With the UAC feature, Vista is crippled. My XP system has been free from virus attacks for years, and I get very little in the way of spam. you buy, get a SCSI scanner, it's faster and less hassle in the long run. Make sure you have a free IRQ for the SCSI card, unless you already have one installed. Go for an extended warranty on your scanner. In my opinion and experience, it is the computer component that is most likely to break down.

I'm not about to pay $80- to renew my subscription to get whatever updates are available to make the program work in Vista.
